MEET THE COACHES: MOMOH PUJEH

Joük is fortunate to have an excellent bunch of new coaches this fall season!

Meet Coach Momoh Pujeh, a recent Drexel University graduate who’s not only a great coach and soccer player, but also an excellent screenwriter.

Here’s more about Momoh:

NICKNAME: Momoh or Pujeh, both sort of sound like a nickname!

FROM/ FAMILY HERITAGE: Born in Willingboro, New Jersey by way of Sierra Leone

WHAT I LIKE MOST ABOUT COACHING IS… watching players gain confidence through trial and error. As they make an attempt to understand their shortcomings, they can develop skills that are transferable to arenas outside of the pitch.

WHAT I STRIVE TO TEACH KIDS IS… determination and a good attitude can get you anything you deserve out of life.

FAVORITE SOCCER PLAYER OF ALL TIME: The King & Bukayo Saka

FAVORITE LANGUAGE(S) FOR PLAYING SOCCER: Love/ English/ Francais/ Passion

SOCCER MUSIC: Bachata

FAVORITE MOVE: Feint / Shoulder drop.

SOCCER PLAYER LOOK-ALIKE: Yaya Touré (We agree…let the photos below convince you!)

FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME: Chess

FAVORITE PLACE TO PLAY SOCCER: There's a field near the D train in Chinatown that is always a great time.

FAVORITE FOOD TO EAT AFTER PLAYING: Burgers and bananas for restoration!

IF I WAS IN CHARGE OF FIFA, I WOULD....be a very happy man. The biggest thing that I would do is set about developing football academies in “Third World Countries”. The issue for many countries isn't the talent pool, or lack thereof; rather, it's an infrastructure issue. If there was more investment, or attention paid towards the youth, you could see players from all over the world gain exposure, and in a way save their localities through their popularity/success.

 WORDS OF WISDOM: “Understand stillness.”
